Our Mission

About the Piedmont Journalism Foundation

The Piedmont Journalism Foundation is proud to own and operate the Fauquier Times and Prince William Times — serving our communities both online and in print. Established in 2018, our foundation was founded with a mission to support these trusted newspapers and provide nonpartisan, in-depth coverage of the issues that matter most to the residents of Fauquier and Prince William Counties.

By 2019, it became evident that transitioning to nonprofit ownership—paired with the generous philanthropic support of our community—was the best path forward to preserve and sustain these vital local news outlets.

As a nonprofit news organization, we are committed to delivering high-quality journalism that informs and engages our readers. However, we can’t do it alone. Your support is essential in helping us continue our mission to sustain a strong, independent press in our community.
